Majaland Kownaty – is it worth it and how to buy cheaper tickets to Majaland?
One would like to write that we invite you to the land of Mai's Bee, but we do not want to pigeonhole Majaland as a place ONLY for small children. Because in Majaland also older children and even adults will find attractions for themselves. The only question that remains is whether it's worth paying almost PLN 100 for admission? 😉
Majaland Kownaty We visited in the middle of the vacations, which is the worst possible time 😉 However, in order to minimize the risk of crowds on site, we went to the amusement park in the middle of the week. Was it a good idea?
We don't have a comparison to the weekend, but being Thursday, we didn't have giant queues for attractions and food outlets, so from that angle it wasn't too bad. Of course, there were queues, a few times we found ourselves waiting as long as 15 minutes for some rides, but as a rule it was no more than 10 minutes. And here, fans of large amusement parks, will probably rise with enthusiasm and start planning a trip to Kownat 😉 After all, what is these 10 minutes compared to the 30 or even an hour you have to stand off in Energylandia?!
Well, you have to admit that standing 30 minutes in line with adults is definitely more pleasant than among small children, who do not particularly like to stand still. And let's remember, however, that younger visitors are Majaland's target audience.

Majaland – actually for whom it is a good option?
That's right, Who Majaland is really for?
As written above, we would not like Majaland to be identified only with an amusement park for the little ones. Fact, the bulk of the attractions are for children, but there is also plenty for the elderly, and even a few for adults.
As in other amusement parks, also in Majaland, instead of writing about the age of children, it is better to write about their height. Individual attractions have height restrictions: some can be entered by toddlers with a guardian, and some only by people over a certain height. 1.4 meters is the magic limit at which already all attractions stand open, and 1.2 meters height guarantees really super fun.
During our visit to Majaland, our children were around 95 cm and 115 cm, and even though the older one didn't catch the cooler ceiling, she still had maximum fun 😉 Probably those 5 centimeters would have given even more fun, but still the day was filled with attractions in Majaland to the brim.
The younger one did not complain either 🙂 There are rides where you hop on with a guardian, although the choice was definitely smaller. However, it is worth remembering that in the area of Majaland there are also playgrounds (including a water playground), a monkey grove, a pool with balls, which will make the stay more pleasant for toddlers (unfortunately, due to the pandemic they were closed during our visit).
We were almost to the very end, so if you are going with children a little taller (over 1.2 m) it is worth being really early in the morning to have plenty of time to enjoy every attraction.
Looking with the eye of an adult, without children, it is not so attractive place. There are 2-3 sturdier rides, but the vast majority are more for kids and teens. Nevertheless, going together with children, adults also have a chance to have a good time.
On-site attractions
Majaland is divided into several themed zones. Some of them are covered, and some are outdoors.
To begin with, let's start with those inside. At the very center is a wide and very slow carousel. Just the right place to start if you are traveling with a toddler to rock out. Older kids may get bored 😉
Fortunately, there are many more attractions besides the boring indoor carousel: there's a chain carousel, a slide, frog and butterfly carousels and even a rollercoaster! In addition, there are bodies of water on which you can sail in small boats (by the way, the boat motif appears in this part many times), there is a stage, a playground for toddlers, a monkey grove and a pool with balls (the last two closed during the pandemic).
The covered section also has a restaurant, ice cream, restrooms, lockers and a gift store.
Let's move on to the outdoor part, which is divided into themed zones: the first one is the one most associated with the Maja the Bee, second more Viking, the latest from Super Wings and there is also a wooden rollercoaster at the edge of the. This is the one rollercoaster (Werewolf) is from 1.40 m and is one of the coolest attractions for those older visitors.
The older ones are also sure to enjoy the Viking Land with a Viking boat spinning above the entrance. Here you can fight a Water Battle by sailing boats and shooting water at unsuspecting passersby or other ships.
The newest Super Wings zone is an opportunity to soar into the air and control the flight with wings – the bravest even manage to make a 360-degree turn! For this there is a water playground with slides, bridges and fountains. There are changing rooms on site, but unfortunately, be warned that even on a hot day, the water in the pool is almost ice-cold.
The largest part is dedicated to Maja the Bee, but not only. Attention is drawn to the large and noisy flower carousel, on top of which is the title character. Next to it waits another character – grasshopper Philip, who invites you to jump on his back and ride through the meadow. Nearby there is also Gucci's playground although it has little in common with Gucci himself (but it is very cool).
And that's it for May attractions, but not the end of attractions in general 😉 Children can drive cars through a mini traffic town, play as a fireman or try to climb to the top of the volcano.
Catering in Majaland
There are several food outlets on site, so you won't go hungry. Admittedly, the choice is not knockout and standard dishes and snacks rather dominate, but the important thing is that you can at least sit down for a while.
The largest restaurant is inside the buildings, opposite the entrance. Here is also the largest selection of dishes (dumplings, pork chops, fries, etc.). Outside there are two places where you can sit at tables and booths where you can buy hot dogs, casseroles, ice cream, etc.
Unfortunately in terms of prices it is quite expensive, for example a hot dog or a casserole is the cost of about 15-20 zloty.
Important note – don't leave the food until the very end. Before closing already many dishes are simply gone and the choice is very limited.
Majaland – ticket prices
So now that you know what and how on the spot is the question – How much do tickets to Majaland cost?
Prices depend on the height of the visitor and the season in which you want to visit Majaland.
A child under 85 centimeters in height enters for a symbolic zloty, and children between 85 cm and 99 cm for 49,99 zloty.
People over a meter high pay 79,99 PLN in the low season, that is from November to March, or 99,99 PLN in the other months.
Tickets can be purchased online with the exception of the ticket for the smallest child, so if you are traveling with such and so you have to go to the ticket office to pay this PLN.
Counting a family of four, a visit to Majaland is an expense of almost 400 zlotys! And you may think that this is a staggering price, but on the other hand, we have a lot of attractions on site, and the kids will play all day and will not want to leave.
>>> We also recommend OUR BOOK "52 attractions for children in Poland", together with an eBook for only 59,99 zł 49,98 zł !. In the book you will find 132 pages Full of inspiration, descriptions and practical advice! The book itself or ebook only now for only 39,99/29,99 zloty .
However, we have a cool tip for you to make the cost of entry to Majaland cheaper. It's worth looking at tickets on other sites like Groupon or Parkmania. We bought through the latter service and saved 40 zlotys on each ticket over one meter, so a total of 120 zlotys ahead 😉
Majaland opening hours
Majaland is open during the following hours:
- 10.00 – 18.00 (high season)
- 10.30 – 17.00 (low season)
However, it's always worth checking the opening hours in advance on the Majaland website.
Access and parking
Majaland is located in the village of Kownaty, in Lubuskie province, on the A2 highway, about 40 kilometers from the border with Germany (it should be added that this is quite a popular place among our western neighbors).
Currently accessible only by car or bus.
Taking the A2 highway towards the border, take the Torzym exit and head north (about 4 kilometers).
There is a large paid parking lot on site. The price for the whole day is 12 zloty, payable at the Majaland ticket office.

Is it worth to visit Majaland? Our opinion
How do we rate our stay in Majaland? For children it is definitely a super place, to which we will still be happy to return so in 3-4 years, when our kids will reach the magic 120 cm 😉 We expected everything related somehow to the title Maya, but fortunately it is not so.
However, we regret that a place like Majaland is so far away, and let's not kid ourselves, but for most of you it's just too far away. We even have the impression that this park
Would we come here without children? Definitely not 😉 The place is prepared for families with children, and the traction stronger for adults is far too little to pay almost 100 zloty for a ticket.
